The Company pumps, treats and distributes water for domestic purposes in the communities of Leisure Towne and Hampton Lakes in Southampton Township, NJ. Water supply to the Pinelands system is derived from groundwater sources. Pinelands Wastewater Company, a Middlesex Water subsidiary, collects, treats and discharges wastewater from approximately 2,500 residential customers in Burlington County, NJ. The Pinelands Wastewater treatment plant provides clarification, sedimentation, filtration and disinfection. As public utilities, Pinelands Water and Wastewater Companies are subject to the regulations of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. These companies are also regulated by the NJDEP and other governmental agencies concerning water quality and wastewater discharge standards.
